Built on trust
We designed Preview with privacy as the foundation, not an afterthought
Your keys never leave your browser
When you configure Preview, your API keys are stored in your browser's localStorage—not on our servers. API calls go directly from your browser to the AI provider. We never see your keys or your responses.
How it works
Keys stored locally
Your API keys live in localStorage, accessible only to your browser
Direct API calls
Requests go straight from your browser to OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.
Response stays private
Results return directly to your browser—we never see them
Verify it yourself: Open your browser's DevTools Network tab while running a prompt. You'll see requests going directly to the AI provider's API, not to Promptodex.

Convenience without compromise
We believe great tools should be both powerful and respectful of your privacy
Preview exists because we think testing prompts should be frictionless. No copying to another tab. No context switching. Just click and run.
But convenience shouldn't come at the cost of trust. That's why we built Preview to work entirely in your browser. Your API keys are yours. Your conversations are yours. We don't want them, and we've designed the system so we can't access them.
This is how we think software should work.
